Interview:1607 （ Selected ）

Hu Fang:The apartment with the number 1607 is the place where you live, could you describe what it looks like?

Chu Yun:For me, apartment 1607 is temporary.  It provides such a space: the objects (daily necessities) are put together, relating to one another. Such relationship is keeping changing all the time. For example, the objects are moved here and there every day. Anytime they will be relocated, worn, thrown away or replaced.  Behind all this is the mystery of life. Therefore, what I care is not how I live in 1607 but the destiny of the objects. Here in 1607, the story and plots are unfolding mysteriously and invisibly. I don't like people to imagine my real life through my work.

Hu Fang:What is the relationship between the first picture and the last one?

Chu Yun:I am sorry that I have to keep the secret because I am the only one who knows the truth. You have seen the unseen like the audience who are kept in the dark from the magic.

I am still not sure whether there is such a mysterious force, by which many things are changed invisibly.  I am also not sure if there is telepathy between man and objects. I don't know if my work is meaningful. If there is an answer, it may exist in these photos which can't be seen.
